Remember Arrow from the Princess of Power cartoon/toy figures? This was the stead of the character Bow. The toy was blue and had wings but the cartoon was more of a tan color and had no wings at all. This beast/vehicle has wings, but is colored in a more in the way of the animation. Here’s my thoughts on it.

A Song of Heroes is an independent online comic book series that takes place on the planet of Emphyria. Here the Red Wizard is attempting to take the Protoskull to solidify his own power. This first volume has some background and origins of a couple of his minions and brings on the intro to the series Skaldor. This run is heavily influenced by the Masters of the Universe series. Some of the characters have even been created as fan made competitions as future action figure statues. Check out my thoughts on the first volume, which includes the first 4 issues published online.

I had no idea that the original Masters of the Universe movie came out 30 years ago. It’s totally cheesy and cringeworthy and no where near what the source material, but it’s gained a huge following among He-Man fans out there. I’ve seen it many times myself and I laugh at it but I still love it. Here’s a video by CineFix that tells 7 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About the Movie. I TOTALLY had no idea about PigBoy cameo.

By the way, did you know that concept art was made for She-Ra to make an appearance in the Masters of the Universe movie? The movie was limited but I feel like her being a part of it would have totally been so badass! The concept art below was by William Stout.

Sea Hawk – Adora’s boyfriend…or maybe he was Bow’s boyfriend, whatever. You can have any imagination with toylines, including making a pirate whose crew is all male, be bisexual at the very least. Here’s my thoughts on this figure. Thanks Mr. Thom for getting me this guy! My Masters of the Universe Classics collection is almost complete.

Eldor, the wise sage of ancient Preternia was made into a figure. This was from the cancelled Powers of Grayskull toyline from the 1980s. Finally the Masters of the Universe Classics made the figure and they did a great job of it.

Did you know that there existed a Masters of the Universe newspaper comic strip that was published in select newspapers around the world? It did exist and it expanded on the original 1980s-1990s He-Man Universe that most fans never knew existed. Thanks to Danielle Gelehrter, Val Stapkes, Eric Marshall, and Raunak Singh for making this possible. This book is published by Dark Horse Comics.

Faker 1
Wouldn’t you want to see a new episode from the old 1980’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe? It was made for kids and definitely was not to be taken seriously on an adult format. But I know I would kill to see a new episode from this series. Even better would be to see some characters that never made appearances in that show, such as King Hiss (Hsss) or maybe Stinkor. Guess what? The official He-Man YouTube channel is making their own episode…to an extent. This new episode will show the proper version of the Masters character – Faker. This robotic evil version of He-Man had appeared once before in the episode The Shaping Staff, but was not blue and orange like his toy counterpart. This new episode is suppose to entail new cells in HD format but still recycle older animation as well. Regardless, I am still excited to this in all it’s original 1980’s cheesy glory! Check out the trailer below.

Serpentine King Hsss Masters of the Universe Classics Toy Review (3).Movie_Snapshot

If you had a Matty Collector Sub from the 2015 series of the Masters of the Universe Classics toyline, then you were promised an alternate body for the 200x King Hssss figure that was released. However this never happened. Luckily., Matty Collector fixed this by making Serpentine King Hssss available to those that had the 2015 sub in March 2016. Here he is, and he is pretty darn awesome! He’s simply the snake version of King Hssss, but he is much more ‘snakey’ and comes with interchangeable heads and alternate weapons. I think this was a great investment!
