Hercules 1 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Hercules may have been decreed by Marvel Comic Book Editor in Chief – Axel Alonso as NOT being gay, but you could totally fool the reader. This was a great first issue, but Hercules screams hot sexy dad. He’s half naked and cooking in his first panel appearance in the comic. Not that I am complaining. This first issue of Hercules has a solid start, with an introduction into the immortal hero’s life. The series will focus on his travels on Earth as he has adjusted to learning that he is no longer the lone superhero on the planet. Ancient foes will be focused on with a modern twist. He has a new uniform and a unique outlook towards life as he incorporates technology with the powers of ancient Greece to aid him along the way.

Thanos seems to be supreme as he has defeated Earth’s heroes. But now he must fight the cosmic guardians of the universe.

This issue shows Thanos taking on the most powerful cosmic entities in the Marvel Universe. Even with the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, he must be on his guard. Luckily, he does have the power of God.

Back to the Future 1 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Yes boys and girls, October 21, 2015 is officially Back to the Future day! It’s fitting that their comic book would come out on this day as well. I’m a huge Back to the Future fan. In fact, I’ve seen all of the movies multiple times as well as the cartoon series. It was fantastic back then and today I think it has survived the test of time. They may not have predicted 2015 very well, but the story itself is incredible. Here’s the first comic book of the IDW series. Enjoy!

I finally got around to reading the Jem and the Holograms comic book. It was pretty good. Much better than that god awful movie trailer that came out. Let’s pretend that trailer is something else completely and that it has nothing to do with Jem. Check out my thoughts on issue #1 below!

Fall of Grayskull HeMan

I posted recently about the fan film- Fall of Grayskull, which looks awesome, but there is a comic book prologue that came out too. The story opens up with an evil plot of Skeletor’s to take over Eternia. Only this time, he may actually succeed. This comic helps the reader catch up to what we will be seeing when the actual fan film is released.

You can read the full comic book at FallofGrayskull.com.

MIDN-Cv2-ds

Steve Orlando is a badass writer! This issue follows very closely after issue number #1 and follows Midnighter as he starts track down people with devices and technology from the Gardner. It’s a great read and the fact that Midnighter is such a cool character and proudly out and gay, makes it so much more. Check out my video review.

Over at HandsomeDevilComics.com, there’s a comic called Fantasy Killer.

The premise is that guy goes a bit nuts and decides to kill his friends and co-workers. Or does he? Totally a psycho kinda feel to it but not exactly. It’s not like a lot of other comics, unless you count the comic- Johnny, The Homocidal Maniac

Yes, this is suppose to be the continuation of the Bible, with it’s star, Jesus Christ. No seriously.

It’s a pretty damn good read, but if you’re of the Christian faith and take it seriously, then this could offend you. Possibly.
