Midnighter Tomorrows Issue

Of course the good issue of Midnighter teaming up with Dick Grayson aka Nightwing, comes out tomorrow when I’m driving up to Atlanta. So I won’t be able to get this until I come back. Or when I’m at Dragon Con this weekend. But I doubt I’ll have too much time to read comics.

Latter Days Complete.Movie_Snapshot

Latter Days- a 2003 movie about a closeted gay man fighting his hormones and the next door guy who is determined to have sex with him. Well there’s a lot more than that. The next door man, Christian (ironic name) is a jerk at the beginning, but grows a heart and eventually falls for the Mormon boy. This movie came out from TLA Releasing in 2003 and it was a great movie and I still enjoy watching it today. Check out my thoughts on this movie in the video below.

Harvey Quinn

It’s the little things in life that sometimes makes me happy. Even though this isn’t an article about me, I still made it on a post by Ed Kennedy on NewNowNext. It’s at the very bottom of the post, but I’ll take it! Haha, it’s just because I Tweeted a beginning shot of my Harvey Quinn costume (posted above) that I’m making for this week’s Dragon Con. The finished costume will be shown very soon!

Here’s the link if you’re interested in it. A lot of other posts are in it too. Thanks Bernardo Rivera for letting me know about this! NewNowNext.

Newsies 1

I fracking LOVE Newsies! It’s my favorite musical in both movie form and theater form. I think I’ve seen both more times than I can count. BYU Students did a one-shot Cappella “Newsies” Medley Tribute. One shot. Granted, this is lip syncing but still, they had to have recorded this prior to this and get it all in sync and that takes skill with a beautifully choreographed dance sequence. And yes, I am aware that this is a Mormon University. Thanks Derek for showing this to me!

God is Dead Vol 2 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Here’s my review on volume 2 of this really fracked up series from Avatar Press. It’s not the weirdest series out there, but it definitely ranks up there. This time, I really do think that the real God is dead in this comic book line.

Civil War

New Promo Art was released as to the upcoming Captain America: Civil War movie. Noticeably absent is Spider-Man, Thor and Hulk. Spider-Man has been long rumored to be in the movie within some capacity as well as Bruce Banner. They could just be cameos that appear at some point in time. But regardless, this mini-Avengers movie looks to be pretty damn awesome! I cannot wait to see it!

Fight Club 2 Issue 4 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Fight Club 2 – Issue #4 is out! Damn, this is a great comic book series. I really hope that a movie could be made about it. I doubt it’ll happen, but I can dream! Check out my review on this below.

According to BleedingCool News the next Blade film, which will now be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, may focus on Blade’s 16 year old daughter, Fallon Grey. Wesley Snipes has also expressed interest in returning to the role again. It is unclear whether or not Marvel would have him return or recast his character.

This new character has not been officially introduced into the Marvel Comic Book Universe as of this post, but has been identified as being through the description by Blade Comic Book Writer Tim Seeley as:

“She’s a sort of ‘anti-Peter Parker.’ She’s popular, she’s well-liked and it seems like the world is her oyster. But, the expectations that come with being so damn perfect are starting to break her down, and that’s before she learns she’s the heir to a Daywalking-Monster-Stabbing-Empire…”

Personally, I would love to have both Blade and Fallon in separate comic books, but when it comes to the Cinematic Universe, I think it makes much more sense to INTRODUCE Blade first and then bring in his daughter later. It is more likely that the previous Blade films will not be taken into account, however the films exist in a way that they could be taken into account being that they do not actually seem to affect the other Marvel Cinematic characters that have existed already. For all the viewer knows, vampires have existed this whole time and none of the Mavel Heroes have any knowledge of it because they are all dealing with the other cosmic events taking place.

Blade Vampire King

I am all for more female superheroes being introduced into the Marvel Universe. They definitely need it, but Blade is the comic book movie that reinvigorated the superhero movie franchise in the 2000’s, even before Tobey Macguire’s Spider-Man. I do not want to sacrifice Blade so that a female counterpart can be brought in to replace him.

Blade Punisher Daredevil

I bet Blade would make a fracking awesome Netflix series too. I could just imagine him teaming up with or fighting Daredevil, Punisher, Jessica Jones or Luke Cage and Iron Fist in their future team ups. All fans are anxiously waiting to see the inevitable Defenders or Street Avengers Team to be made. Blade would make an excellent addition that could probably lead them in the fight against the supernatural. That could be epic on so many levels. What do you think about this? Do you think that a Vampire Hunter movie based on Blade’s daughter would work?

Jesse Quick

Violett Beane has been officially cast in the role as Jesse Quick on the Flash TV show. This is wonderful news as we now have the role of Wally West, Kid Flash being filled by Keiynan Lonsdale and the role of Jay Garrick, Golden Age Flash being played by Teddy Sears.

FLash Team

If you are unaware, in DC Comics, Jesse Quick is a speedster and daughter of Johnny Quick, another speedster and Liberty Belle, another superheroine herself. Johnny Quick is a speedster through the use of a Speed Formula to which his daughter Jesse is able to use as well. Unlike other speedsters that rely solely on their speed powers to attain superhuman feats, Jesse also has her mother’s super strength as well. Although in the show, this may not be the case.

Fastest Woman Alive

Also for a very brief time, Jesse actually served as THE Flash when Wally West was looking for a replacement. That turned out to be a trick to motivate Bart Allen, Impulse, into being more serious about his duties as becoming the Flash himself one day. We will not go into that storyline though.

Full Flash Team

This season of Flash is going to be pretty epic. So far we have five Speedsters if you include Reverse Flash, Kid Flash, Golden Age Flash, Barry Allen Flash and Jesse Quick. I cannot wait to see how all of these superhero shows are going to work out!

Evil Seed Masters of the Universe Classics Toy Review.Movie_Snapshot

Evil Seed! He’s the evil counter part to Moss Man in the Masters of the Universe line. He’s actually a pretty cool figure. I’m glad that they released him. Check out my thoughts on him in the video below.
