This is it, the epic conclusion to the Flash War in Flash #50 and holy hell, there was such a huge surprise at the end of this series. It is potentially going to link to much bigger stories down the line that could incorporate other heroes that have been sorely missing in the DC Universe. Check out my thoughts in the attached video for this comic book review but be warned, MAJOR SPOILERS!

This week’s comic load is slightly different. My buddy, sidekick, and superman cutie – Cerolobo – helps out with his insights on this week’s comic book pull list. We couldn’t get to all of the comics we had a chance to read, but for his first non-spoilery comic book review, he did a great job! Check it out and let me know what you thought about the attached video.
Special note, Flash #50 came out this week and had a HUGE development that I will go into on my own in a separate video. I felt like it deserved its own video with this plot point taking place.

Anime Expo revealed a few new animations coming to Netflix in the near future. Besides getting a second season to Castlevania, we’re also getting UltraMan! Who is UltraMan? He is a superhero that fights Kaiju monsters with an array of special abilities that include size enhancements to grow as large as his adversary if necessary and he is heroic (usually). He technically never fought or teamed up with Godzilla, but there are very similar versions of both that have fought and teamed up. One famous meeting was Jet Jaguar (very UltraMan-ish) teaming up with Godzilla to fight Megalon. Netflix has been great with past animations and has an incredible version of Voltron that is currently in it’s 6th season. So I do not think we will have to worry about the cheesiness of the UltraMan in years past. This could be badass on so many levels!

It’s the third issue of the alien/human crew venturing to the depths of space and back. This issue has the Star Crossed crew coming across a group of robotic beings that are determined to collect DNA samples from each of the members in order to re-populate the universe if necessary. Check out my thoughts on this book in the attached video. This issue was written by Patrick Fillion and illustrated by Alexander.

It’s comic book day! Man of Steel, the six issue mini series comes to an end and the whereabouts of Jonathan Kent is explained. Walking Dead #181 – More walkers…new civilization drama…etc. Nothing new really. Astonishing X-Men #13 – Havok tries to recruit his own team of X-Men, again. He gets a surprise from a long thought dead team member. X-Men Gold #31- Rachel Summers battles Mesmero in a mind battle that translates to reality. Captain America #1 – Another number one, because reasons. Selene is the big baddie this go around, which should be interesting to see her battle Cap later down the road. Finally, Batman #50 – The Wedding issue! Major spoiler for this issue, even though most people were already spoiled long before this issue hit stands. Check out my thoughts on this weeks comic load! What’s your load look like?

Have you met Beninator? I like to refer to him as the He-Man cosplayer that does a smoking job of both He-Man and Prince Adam. Not to mention all of the other costumes that he regularly posts on his Instagram and Facebook pages. Below are a couple of his pics that I’ve seen that are badass pieces of art!

There are only a handful of movies that can make me cry like a baby, and Big Eden is one of them. The story revolves around Henry Hart played by Arye Gross. He is a New York artist who finds out that his grandfather has just suffered from a stroke. Henry drops everything and goes home to help nurse him back to health. There he sees that his hometown is very accepting and open town to him as a gay man. He finds love in two different directions and both can lead down different paths. This is a great heartfelt movie. Check out my thoughts on it in the attached video, but there are major spoilers, so be warned!

There will be a pink vest, rainbow boxed version of Prince Adam from the Masters of the Universe Classics line available during San Diego Comic Comic Con 2018 made by Super7. This will be at the shop – Hordak’s Lair on July 18-19. This makes me so happy. Some other haters are not so much enthused but hardcore Masters of the Universe fans are just as ecstatic as I am. Although getting him will not be so easy to obtain.

Although this figure is titled ‘Laughing Prince Adam,’ from the cartoon and now famous What’s Going On video, I am calling him Pride Prince Adam. The original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe 1980s cartoon showed a much more pink version of Prince Adam, He-Man’s secret identity. The toy version of Adam that was released in the 1980s however, had Adam in a maroon vest. I honestly never thought a pink version would ever be released, so this is great news!

Being a Masters of the Universe fan is something that I have made clear for years. There is a huge gay following of He-Man and his furry-underweared-muscle-bound-leather-clad companions for obvious reasons. This will be a tough figure to track down on a regular event and since the figure will not be at SDCC itself, but at Hordak’s Lair toyshop, it will be even more difficult to obtain one. Anyone going to try and pick this baby up? I hope that Super7 has made enough of them.

Hordak’s Lair is located at: 701 8th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101

I had no idea that an animated movie was even being made. Oscar Isaac, better known to some as Poe Damaron is set to play Gomez while Charlize Theron is going to voice Morticia. I must say, both of these actors could play the real Morticia and Gomez if a live action version was ever made. Chloë Grace Moretz and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) will be the voices of Wednesday and Pugsley Addams. Nick Kroll will be Uncle Fester and wow, Bette Midler will be Grandmama. Holy hell, this is awesome! I’m a huge Addams fan and can’t wait to see this. We just have to wait until October 11, 2019.

Princess Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman returns in November, 2019 in Wonder Woman 1984. Set in the year 1984, they are going full on 80’s looks. However I have to say, I love Wonder Woman’s costume has not changed much with the exception of not having the leather harness and sword. Perhaps her costume is slightly brighter, but this could just be a promo picture that will be altered in post production. Regardless, I am loving it and I cannot wait to see Wonder Woman take on Cheetah in her sequel. What do you think of it?
