I absolutely adore Jeremy Jordan aka Winn Schott from Supergirl. I ship him with just about all of the male characters on the show. I think the writers and the actor knows that he may have a small gay following and play into it. His hero crush on Superman is the best. It may just be me, but I am so hoping that he’ll be bisexual. Him and Jimmy can have a thing. Or hell, they made it clear that Mon El as a Daxamite does not even think of sexualities. It could happen.

Before you know it, The Last Jedi will be out. Star Wars fans will be going insane everyday as the date gets closer. So many promos and ads will be posted everywhere. Vanity Fair made several covers with the main cast that are beautiful! My personal favorite is the cover with Finn and Poe with new character Rose Tico. But then I’m really hoping that Finn/Poe will be a thing. That’s just my personal feelings. Although the last cover with the late Carrie Fisher does have a special meaning. Anyways, I just wanted to share these in case anyone has not seen them yet. The Last Jedi comes out December 15, 2017.

I loved the season finale of Supergirl. It had it’s ups and downs. I won’t spoil the ending in case anyone has not seen it yet. But if you did happen to watch the show and watch the commercials, there was a great promo for Wonder Woman. It even features Linda Carter and it just totally made me smile! The clip is below.

Is that Wonder Woman and Superman’s alternate reality son being shown on DC Comic’s August solicitations? I don’t know, but damn! That’s badass! I’m sure this is just a one story thing, but I have learned that many alternate reality characters can do a lot and reappear if enough fans want to see it. And doesn’t he look a lot like Conner Kent? Justice League has been boring me a bit lately, but I’m picking this up.

The synopsis reads:

Written by BRYAN HITCH • Art by FERNANDO PASARIN and OCLAIR ALBERT • Cover by BRYAN HITCH • Variant cover by NICK BRADSHAW
“LEGACY” part one! A group of heroes from a post-apocalyptic future escape into the past to stop their world from coming to be. But to do it they’re going to need the help of the Justice League—who just happen to be these time travelers’ parents!
On sale AUGUST 2 • 32 pg, $2.99 US • RATED T

Recently Deadline reported that Spider-Man star Tom Holland will be Nathan Drake in the upcoming Uncharted movie. This looks to be a prequel story to Nathan. So it could be great. I am sure that Holland will do a great job and I will wait to see how he does it.

Just for fun, here’s some costumers doing some great Nathan Drake cosplaying below.

Sony just announced that Tom Hardy has been cast to play Eddie Brock aka Venom in the upcoming Spider-Man spin off. I am literally hard thinking about this. I have a huge thing for Tom Hardy and I feel this is a great choice!

Besides being a badass actor, I feel that Hardy would be an excellent Eddie Brock! This just made my Friday totally awesome! Venom is set to be released on October 8, 2018. What do you think of this?

The new CW superhero show will debut in mid-season this year. Unfortunately CW chief Mark Pedowitz that stated upfront that Black Lightning does not take place in the Arrowverse. That sucks! But luckily, I’m a firm believer in a shared Multiverse. Supergirl has done it, Black Lightning can do it too.

Most people are aware of this, but just in case a couple of you missed it, Kid Flash actor Keiynan Lonsdale aka Wally West, recently came out as bisexual. He said this in a wonderful post on Instagram and retweeted on Twitter.

This man is awesome! I feel like he’s been underused on the Flash series, and I was hoping that his character would not be completely heterosexual. Still, that does not mean that he cannot be a bisexual character and that he could get a huge push next season. With that, here’s some awesome pics of Keiynan.

In case you were not aware, another male bisexual actor on Flash was Andy Mientus who plays Pied Piper. Coincidentally, the Pied Piper is a gay character himself.

As a very avid comic book reader, I have had my ups and downs with emotions. Sometimes a story is written so well that I feel invested in a character to the point that I feel like I know them. This is true in any form of media, but I feel particularly close to comic books as it is what I have read the most about in the entirety of my life. Here’s a couple moments that I have literally balled my eyes out reading.

The return of Wally West in DC Universe Rebirth #1. This should be a no brainer. The New 52 DC Universe sucked. I abandoned ship myself nearly a year before this storyline. But Wally West returning along with the Pre-Flashpoint Superman in the previous year really opened many readers eyes and brought them back. Seeing Wally and Barry hug each other sealed the deal on this and made me feel like there was hope for DC Comics yet.

Speaking of Rebirth – Detective Comics #940 – The “Death” of Tim Drake aka Red Robin aka THE BEST Robin ever. It’s no secret that Tim Drake is my favorite superhero. He’s not my favorite side kick, he is my favorite superhero. Period. He was a nerdy kid that worked his way into the Batfamily and earned his place as being Robin. He wasn’t an acrobat, he wasn’t a tough street guy, he was a sociopathic killer son of Batman. He was very ordinary and close to being a stereotypical geek. It sounds lame, but as a kid I looked up to him and he gave me a lot of hope that I can a superhero one day too. His “death” affected me a lot. He was not killed. He was simply captured and put into a cell by the mysterious Mr. Oz, but the fact that he is taken off of the field and is still missing in the DC Universe during the Rebirth saga is something that is nearly just as bad. Everything that everyone is going through that is shaping their universe in a different direction will be missed by him. I do hope that when he returns, he will be just as awesome as he was before the New 52 messed up his character and hopefully have his real buddies back too. Young Justice Rebirth can and should happen!

Infinite Crisis #6 – One of Tim’s bestest buddies/bromances is Conner Kent aka Superboy aka Kon-El. Superboy was treated horribly in the New 52 Universe and given a completely new origin. We pretend that that never happened. But during his time in Pre-Flashpoint, his name had been a thing contested in courts. Although DC stated that this was not reason for doing so, but he was killed off in the Infinite Crisis storyline. Tim was so distraught that he attempted to clone him to bring him back. His death in the arms of Wonder Girl was so depressing.

Amazing Spider-Man #400 – Death of Aunt May. She didn’t really die. Turns out it was an actress and it was staged, but for a while it was cannon. Of course Spider-Man’s history and the Marvel Universe as a whole has been altered, so this story may not even happened to begin with. But reading this as a kid, I did cry seeing May’s farewell.

Incredible Hulk #420 – Death of Jim Wilson. This issue had long time friend of the Hulk, Jim Wilson succumb to having full blown AIDS back in 1994. To many at the time, being diagnosed with HIV was a death sentence. My own uncle passed from complications of having AIDS this same year. This issue has Hulk’s friend ask the Hulk for a blood transfusion to save his life. The negative aspect is that Jim could become a Hulk himself, similar to Jennifer Walters becoming the She-Hulk. The Hulk obviously does not do this, but still the idea of this happening and for the Hulk to choose to not help is so incredibly sad. Jim accepting his fate is horrible. I still cry at this issue to this day.

Well that’s five of my tear jerking issues from comic books. Do you have any yourself? I am curious if there’s something out there that you guys cry at yourself. Whether it be happy or sad. Let me know!

Bonus – Not to end on a bleak sad note. Something that brought a tear to my eye was to finally see long time boyfriend Hulkling and Wiccan share their first on-panel kiss in Young Avengers Children’s Crusade. They had dated for some time and the reader knew that they were together as couple, but for reasons, they had never been shown to kiss. Finally in issue number 9, this was fixed.

Also, the wedding of Northstar to his boyfriend Kyle Jinadu in Astonishing X-Men #51 is totally crying worthy on its own.

If you have been patiently waiting for the next Marvel Netflix show like me, then this is great news. This looks great! I have to say though, Marvel really likes those hallway fight scenes a lot. Also I’m very curious about Sigorney Weaver’s Alexandra’s character. I know she is a villain, but to what capacity. Is she the main villain or is it going to be a misdirection and we’ll get someone bigger later or maybe she be someone else completely different. What did you think of this?
