Have you watched the Freedom Fighters: The Ray animated series on the CW Seed? It is only the first season of 6 shorts and each of the mini episodes are 6-8 mins long. Since I’m a huge Ray fan, I have been excited for this series to air ever since I heard it was being made. For clarity, I would have enjoyed it even if the main character of Raymond Terrill wasn’t being voiced by Russell Tovey.

It is a prequel series taking place before the Crisis on Earth X crossover series. I will do a video review on the series soon, but I just figured I would inform everyone in case anyone was not aware that it was out.

Check out the series for free over at the CW Seed at: www.CWSeed.com
There is also a message from the Trevor Project included that is presented by the Ray. I personally thought that in itself was great.

It looks promising. Similar premise with respect to being on the island with killer prehistoric creatures but different with the idea that they are this time trying to save the dinosaurs from the islands own volcanic issue explosions. What do you think of it?

Fox may be selling the X-Men movie rights to Disney, but their next installment of their X-Men series is underway. Over at Entertainment Weekly, they have the first images available. Not a lot to show, but we get to see Jennifer Lawrence in her new Mystique make up and Sophie Turner as Jean Grey all ‘Phoenix-y.’ Honestly I do hope that Mystique is downplayed a lot in this movie. It is hard for me to get past her basically being the leader of the X-Men.

Here are the other pics available. Check out the article at: EW.com

It’s comic book day!
Walking Dead #174 returns with a sympathetic look at Negan. Yes, seriously.
Amazing Spider-Man and Venom, Inc: Alpha – The battle for the symbiotes. Not exactly, but somewhat still accurate. Anything with Eddie Brock Venom is worth it.
Astonishing X-Men #6 – The war between Xavier and the Shadow King continue and comes to a head.
Captain America #696 – Cap vs. the Swordsman. Classic Cap is back and he’s showing how awesome he original was meant to be.
Spider-Man #235 – A new Sinister Six is forming and starting to make their move. Miles Morales has never faced them, but he will soon.
Superman #36 – Imperius Lex concludes with a predictable ending. However, Lex makes a move that was a bit unexpected…although I guess it is also predictable if you think about it.
Nightwing #34 – Nightwing vs. Raptor. A definitive winner emerges in this battle.
Batman #36 – The SuperFriends reunite! Well it’s just Superman and Batman, but still seeing their partners (wife/fiancée) making them contact each other is awesome.

The Manga series My Brother’s Husband, written by openly gay writer Gengoroh Tagame, and published by Futabasha in the magazine Monthly Action is getting the TV treatment. The Manga series is focused on Yaichi and Mike Flanagan. Yaichi is a single father, and Mike is the widowed husband to Yaichi’s recently deceased twin brother, Ryōji. Yaichi’s daughter is Kana, who has a much better and open mind to homosexual relationships than her closed minded father. However, as the series progresses, Yaichi starts to understand how his prejudices are misconceived.

This seems like it will be a great show that is not directly making a joke about same sex relationships. This show is directly confronting homophobia in a country that is moving more and more towards marriage equality. Hopefully it will be a hit.

The 3 episode mini series will be produced by Nippon Hōsō Kyōkai, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation and air in March 2018. The show will star Ryuta Sato (Below Left) as Yaichi and Baruto Kaito (Below Right) as Mike. The Manga has been translated into English, so I am going to read all of these issues before and do a separate video on it before the TV series.

Look, ROBIN! Stop what you’re doing and look at this. YES! Dick Grayson’s first look as the original Boy Wonder, Robin in the upcoming Titans Live Action TV show has been revealed. I like it!!! I know they will eventually evolve his look to be Nightwing, so I am loving that they are starting with his Robin look first. What do you think of it?

Brenton Thwaites will be playing Batman’s original sidekick-turned-full-flesh superhero-leader. Titans is set to air on the upcoming DC direct digital service sometime in 2018. We do not know the rest of the team’s costumes, yet. So far we do know that Teagan Croft will be Raven, Anna Dior as Starfire, Lindsey Gort as officer Amy Rohrbach, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk, and Minka Kelly as Dove.

Wow this looks cool! I do not like that the movie looks to be the perspective of someone else, looking inwards to Voldemorts life. But I will take this regardless, because it looks well done for a fan film. This was done by Trangle Films and stars Stefano Rossi as Tom Marvolo Riddle and Davide Ellena as You-Know-Who. Which is odd to have two actors for the same being. I can’t wait to see how that works! Check out the trailer below and tell me what you think.

Video Description: Young Tom Riddle is hungry for power…only the heirs of the four Houses will have the courage to stop him.

The first trailer that was released in June 2017:

Have you heard of the upcoming Batman anime titled: Batman Ninja? This is a story on Batman and his Batfamily (Tim Drake aka Red Robin can be seen) being transported to Medieval Japan. Unfortunately some of the villains of Gotham are also transferred back with him. Oh course they all get involved in a local power struggle and all hell breaks loose. It looks damn awesome!

Batman: Ninja will be released sometime in 2018.

I came across James Matthew Fuller by accident when I was researching some Nightwing/Gotham Knight videos. He starred as Robin in a short video by Tenshunn, over on YouTube. Obviously, I’m a huge Robin fan and seeing his work was very badass! Later we friended each other and have messaged each other a lot and this guy is pretty darn awesome.

Besides being a cancer survivor, James also a super cutie. He’s very talented in acting, singing, and dancing. I found out that he is working towards an audition for the casting of Nightwing/Dick Grayson in an upcoming Nightwing movie being directed by Chris McKay. So I figured, I’m pimping him out to show him to the world.

Matthew has a few projects that he is currently working. He recently completed treatment for cancer but he is fighting back and getting his life back on its original course. One project that I am interested in is a short movie called The Pride directed by Edi Mehana. I’ll post about that when it is released.

If you’re interested in seeing James’ role as Robin in the Red Hood short, check it out in the video below.

The heroes have been defeated and are trapped on the Nazi Earth X. Supergirl’s life hangs in the balance. Luckily some new heroes come in to help and the rest of the Legends of Tomorrow make it to the present. This is an an incredible crossover and the stuff of a comic book geek’s dream come true. Russell Tovey comes in as gay superhero, The Ray and he is a BADASS!!!
