It’s comic book day! What’s your comic load look like? This time around we have quite a few comics that are pretty darn good.

Batman #21 – The Button. What the hell is going on with the Watchmen button? How is everything linked together? No answers are given in this but the Flashpoint Reverse Flash is back and he may have more links to what is going on than anyone.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #14 – Evil Tommy and his evil ranger centurions have almost won. This is an alternate reality but really well done.
Superwoman #9 – Lana wakes and is healed. Unfortunately she is powerless too. Will she continue on as being Superwoman? If so, how is this going to be done?
Nightwing #19 – Nightwing vs. Deathwing round 2. Also Dr. Simon Hurt is brought back and is behind all of the problems that Dick has gone through in the past few issues.
Venom #6 – Eddie Brock is back and he is Venom. FINALLY!!!
Trinity #8 – Superman reveals to Batman and Wonder Woman that his past has been altered. No real information is given in this story, but at least he is confiding in them.
Superman #21 – Why is Jonathan Kent’s powers not properly working? What happened to Batman in the previous issue? There is a lot more to the Kent’s neighbors than meets the eye.

Comic Book Day!
X-Men Blue #1 – The original X-Men team that happens to be younger than the current X-Men team, strike out on their own. They have a unique mentor.
Justice League of America #4 – This is the end of the first storyline with the Extremists.
Titans #10 – The Titans vs. the Fearsome 5. Plus Bumblebee and Mal Duncan join the team.
Wonder Woman #20 – More Godwatch storyline. I’ll leave it at that.
Flash #20 – This was mostly filler, but it did serve a purpose at the very end for a villain to make his/her presence known.
Action Comics #977 – The background of Superman is being defined as the Pre-Flashpoint Superman and the New 52 Superman’s history is somewhat combined.
Skull Island: Birth of Kong #1 – The year is 2012 and a new expedition is being made to Skull island. Not what I was hoping, but I am thinking that issue 2 will be much better.

Sea Hawk – Adora’s boyfriend…or maybe he was Bow’s boyfriend, whatever. You can have any imagination with toylines, including making a pirate whose crew is all male, be bisexual at the very least. Here’s my thoughts on this figure. Thanks Mr. Thom for getting me this guy! My Masters of the Universe Classics collection is almost complete.

Thanos #5 – Thanos is close to death and his son Thane wants to expedite this quicker with a cosmic entity.
Justice League of America #3 – Batman and company take on the Extremists on an underground level. Lobo is awesome in this!
Biff to the Future #3 – Backstory as to how alternate universe Biff came to power. This deals with the fate of George McFly.
All-New X-Men #19 – This is the final issue. Why can’t the original 5 young X-Men return back to their own time?
X-Men Prime #1 -This is the beginning to the new X-Men series that will be popping up in the next couple of months with Kitty Pryde as their leader.
Titans Annual #1 – Where did Donna Troy come from? This issue starts to address this topic.

Some people really hate the new rebooted Ghostbusters movie universe. Personally, I loved the movie and I’m excited for the upcoming sequels in the work. IDW Comics currently Ghostbusters series will be exploring a crossing of worlds with the original Ghostbusters meeting the new Ghostbusters. This first issue does not have a lot of story to it, but it firmly establishes both worlds and that they will inevitably meet.

Great movie! It was adult enough for all audiences to enjoy but kidified enough for children to love as well. It plays homage to the original 1990’s series but also opens up the door for a new universe to expand upon. I love it myself. Spoilers involved in this review!

Iron Fist was by far not the best endeavor into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it was entertaining. I did enjoy the series overall, despite it’s many flaws. Here’s my thoughts on the series, but there are some spoilers, so be warned.

The bisexual Shatterstar finally gets the Marvel Legends treatment. Even better is that it’s the 90’s version of Shatterstar. Not that the current version is horribly drawn, but I like classic Shatterstar so much better. Here’s my thoughts on this Marvel Legends piece. Definitely worth it for any X-Force fan out there. Thank you Sam for getting me this figure!
