Hercules 1 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Hercules may have been decreed by Marvel Comic Book Editor in Chief – Axel Alonso as NOT being gay, but you could totally fool the reader. This was a great first issue, but Hercules screams hot sexy dad. He’s half naked and cooking in his first panel appearance in the comic. Not that I am complaining. This first issue of Hercules has a solid start, with an introduction into the immortal hero’s life. The series will focus on his travels on Earth as he has adjusted to learning that he is no longer the lone superhero on the planet. Ancient foes will be focused on with a modern twist. He has a new uniform and a unique outlook towards life as he incorporates technology with the powers of ancient Greece to aid him along the way.

Ram Man Masters Classics (3).Movie_Snapshot

I’ve been waiting to get this figure for years! I love Ramman. He was one of my favorite figures from the original toyline. He’s huge, he’s strong and may not be the smartest of all of the Masters of the Universe, but he definitely has a lot of heart in his character. Check out my thoughts on the figure in the video below.

Inifinity Gauntlet 6.Movie_Snapshot

Nebula has the Infinity Gauntlet and Thanos has been defeated. Earth’s heroes try one last counter-attack to save the Universe.

This is the conclusion of the epic Infinity Gauntlet series that set Thanos up as taking on the most powerful cosmic entities in the Marvel Universe and ultimately losing everything. Even with the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, the power of God can change hands very readily.

Infinity Gauntlet 5 Comic Book Review (2).Movie_Snapshot

Thanos seems to be supreme as he has defeated Earth’s heroes. But now he must fight the cosmic guardians of the universe.

This issue shows Thanos taking on the most powerful cosmic entities in the Marvel Universe. Even with the power of the Infinity Gauntlet, he must be on his guard. Luckily, he does have the power of God.

Back to the Future 1 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Yes boys and girls, October 21, 2015 is officially Back to the Future day! It’s fitting that their comic book would come out on this day as well. I’m a huge Back to the Future fan. In fact, I’ve seen all of the movies multiple times as well as the cartoon series. It was fantastic back then and today I think it has survived the test of time. They may not have predicted 2015 very well, but the story itself is incredible. Here’s the first comic book of the IDW series. Enjoy!

Captain America Sam Wilson 1 (3).Movie_Snapshot

Sam Wilson is Captain America and he’s a pretty darn awesome Cap too. He’s differing his style of the mantle of Captain America by taking a stance on social injustices in the U.S. whereas Steve Rogers was much more neutral. It’s great. Conservatives hate him, but that’s expected being that Captain America is doing what Captain America does, which is to stand up for those being prejudiced against and to help those groups that are weaker. This is a great first issue!

Here is the video by ‘Fox and Friends,’ (which doesn’t that sound like a Saturday morning kids show) that is denouncing the new Captain America series. But then again, this Captain America is doing what Captain America should be doing, which is exactly the opposite of what anything ‘Fox’ related would want any hero to do.

Fuck Fairyland Comic Book Review (3).Movie_Snapshot

What happens if you get sucked into a fantasy land that seems epic and beautiful as a child but get stuck there for your entire life? Well you’re not going to be the most balanced person after a while. That’s what happens with Gertrude, who is sucked into Fairyland. Skottie Young both wrote and drew this comic from Image Comics and it is pretty darn messed up. It’s awesome!

The New Avengers 1 (2).Movie_Snapshot

Yes, Wiccan and Hulkling are back in the New Avengers #1 from Marvel Comics. Also, for some reason, Squirrel Girl is part of the team. She’s mostly been comedic relief up to this point, but maybe she will be useful sometime down the road. She did defeat Thanos.

The comic starts off good, introduces the main villain and let’s the reader know that the upcoming issues are going to be going in different directions than previous Avenger teams. The team up of the characters are vastly different and should prove to be a good read for future issues.

jem Annual (3).Movie_Snapshot
The first annual Jem and the Holograms comic book just recently came out. Pretty darn awesome! It comprises of four individual stories from the standpoint of each of the four members of the band. This does not really affect continuity too much, but it definitely was a fun read.
