It’s the third issue of the alien/human crew venturing to the depths of space and back. This issue has the Star Crossed crew coming across a group of robotic beings that are determined to collect DNA samples from each of the members in order to re-populate the universe if necessary. Check out my thoughts on this book in the attached video. This issue was written by Patrick Fillion and illustrated by Alexander.

It’s comic book day! Man of Steel, the six issue mini series comes to an end and the whereabouts of Jonathan Kent is explained. Walking Dead #181 – More walkers…new civilization drama…etc. Nothing new really. Astonishing X-Men #13 – Havok tries to recruit his own team of X-Men, again. He gets a surprise from a long thought dead team member. X-Men Gold #31- Rachel Summers battles Mesmero in a mind battle that translates to reality. Captain America #1 – Another number one, because reasons. Selene is the big baddie this go around, which should be interesting to see her battle Cap later down the road. Finally, Batman #50 – The Wedding issue! Major spoiler for this issue, even though most people were already spoiled long before this issue hit stands. Check out my thoughts on this weeks comic load! There is a children’s book based on Harvey Milk and the origin of the Rainbow Pride Flag of the LGBT community. This book is so deeply moving and such a powerful message aimed at children. That does not mean that adults cannot appreciate it as well though. Check out my thoughts on this book in the attached video.

This was written by Rob Sanders and illustrated by Steven Salerno.

If you are interested in this book, it is available in digital format for the Kindle or paperback version over on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Pride-Story-Harvey-Milk-Rainbow/

It’s comic book day! A few good ones came out on this Wednesday. I think Thor #1 started out great with a lot of potential in future storylines. Venom is another gem that I’m particularly interested in. Nightwing starting his own Titans team with the endorsement of the Justice League is great with Titans Special #1. Flash Wars in Flash #48 is looking to reconnect old characters. The final issue of Super-Man and the Justice League of China #24 is the last of our solo series involving Kong Kenan as Super-Man…for now! What does your load look like this week?

It’s The Rawhide Kid in this 5 issue 2003 mini series. Also known as Johnny Bart, the Rawhide Kid helps out a town being attack by a gang of outlaws. He also confuses a lot of people with his clean cowboy look and suave personality. Check out my thoughts on this mini series. Thank you Michael for these comics!

It’s an AMAZING comic book day! See what I did there? Amazing Spider-Man #800 is out and one of Spidey’s buddies do not make it through this issue when the Red Goblin charges through his rampage. Rogol Zaar is a new Kryptonian killer in the first issue of The Man of Steel series. Jean Grey ponders her existence in X-Men Red Annual #1. Havok comes to his senses after turning slightly evil in X-Men Blue #28. Captain Marvel gets help from other Captain Marvels in Infinity Countdown Captain Marvel #1. Batman meets Ozymandias and Johnny Thunder finds Alan Scott’s Green Lantern in Doomsday Clock #5. Here’s my thoughts on this week’s comic load in the attached video. What’s your load look like?

It’s comic book day!
We have the first issue of the Black Panther #1 – The Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda. T’Challa is in space and captured by the Nameless. So many questions!
Wonder Woman #47 – Wonder Woman vs. Supergirl. Darn awesome fight with the Dark Gods as the antagonists.
Batman Beyond #20 – Target Batman! Terry’s little brother Matt, has taken up the mantle of Robin and that is just badass!!!
Star Wars: The Last Jedi #2 – Movie Adaptation. We’re at that part where Leia seemingly ‘dies,’ and we have a bit more inner monologue that we did not get in the movie.
Flash #47 – Flash War Part 1 – Wally West remembers everything from the previous DC Universe. So of course time traveling Zolomon Zoom and Eobard Thawne are both going to mess with the Flashes with an as of yet undefined plan. This should be awesome with the possibility of the Flash family FINALLY being reunited.
Detective Comics #981 – Batman Eternal FINALE! This will be it for Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown for a bit. It leaves off with hope that maybe we will get future adventures with Red Robin and Spoiler exploring other timelines to find their missing friends. Maybe Young Justice friends? Hopefully? Please?! The year 1999 is when the Earth was invaded by a planet of Wrestlers determined to regain the title of Galactic Champion of the Universe! How did this happen? Easy, years earlier an idiot Earth wrestler declared himself the champion and fueled an interstellar war.

It is the third issue of the 1980’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe magazine. This issue has their own unique version of the origin of the Horde plus two cool posters and lots of nostalgia promos as well. Check out my thoughts on this edition in the attached video.
